Traffic prioritisation means that your service stays consistent during busy periods – vital if your employees need to access data in near-real time – for example, when providing telephone support to customers.
Utilising ADSL2+ technology where available, Demon RSL Business Broadband offers fast, reliable, business grade services that let your business make the most of the Internet.
Demon RSL Business Broadband offers two service options to meet the needs of your organisation:
Whatever the maximum speed of your connection (from up to 2Mbps to up to 20Mbps), Demon RSL Business Broadband connections have the advantage of traffic prioritisation and reduced contention. This means your Internet traffic is given priority during peak periods, so your service performance is more consistent compared to non-prioritised services. This helps your business to be more responsive and offer better customer service. If your users regularly need to download large files, such as video presentations, the speed and consistency of the service also helps to avoid unnecessary delays.
Demon RSL Business Broadband offers a flexible choice of one static IP address (with NAT configuration), or multiple IP addresses (with non-NAT configuration).
NAT (Network Address Translation) is designed to simplify IP addressing. It operates on a router and can be configured to ‘advertise’ a single address for the entire network to the outside world. This provides additional security, effectively hiding the entire internal network from the world behind the advertised address.
By contrast, a non- NAT configuration allows the router to pass a pool of IP addresses to host devices such as the organisation’s own email or web server.
Demon RSL Business Broadband comes complete with a full range of other high quality business services that complement broadband, including:
Because we believe that supporting your business isn’t just a 9 to 5 undertaking, Demon RSL Business Broadband offers the reassurance of UK based 24 hour support from our experienced technical support teams, via telephone, email or web chat.
The Demon RSL Business Broadband offers three router options, all of which arrive pre-configured for a quick and easy set-up and all are fully supported by Demon’s Dedicated UK Technical Help Desk support teams.
It’s easy to migrate to Demon RSL Business 2+ or Business 2+ Pro. If you’ve already had another broadband connection from another provider, we will move you quickly with minimal disruption to your new service.
Demon Broadband provides customers with access to an online tracker. The tracker will show end users their monthly broadband usage, and will help to monitor usage in line with any allowances and our Fair Usage Policy (FUP).
For those end users who are unable to receive the Demon RSL 2+ services, our Demon RSL Business 2000 and 8000 services are available with all the same features of the 2+ products.
*Refers to maximum downstream line speeds only. The actual speed you experience will be subject to certain conditions and depends on a number of factors, including your distance from the telephone exchange and the quality of the wiring in between.
Well its been just over a year since Nokia got into bed with Microsoft and produced the first Nokia/Windows phones. 12 months later, and lessons learned, Nokia have released 2 new Lumia’s based in Windows 8, the Lumia 820 and 920.
Based on the same Windows 8 operating system that runs on your desktop, the Nokia Lumia 820 is the second of Nokia’s two new Windows phones. It’s the neglected sibling of the flagship Lumia 920, and is barely mentioned in Nokia’s presentations. But why?
