WWDC 2016

Unified World Communications WWDC 2016

Another year and WWDC 2016 is upon us. Apple will open up the stage today at 10am PT, 6PM here in the UK and present a keynote likely to be roughly 2 hours long exploring upcoming Operating System updates for iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS.

These keynotes usually cater towards the consumer highlighting the benefits and features upcoming typically in September however behind the keynote are usually dozens of new features and benefits for developers. Potential new SDK’s to allow developers access into previously locked down areas of operating systems.

For example if Apple opened up a Siri SDK this would allow developers to allow Siri to use theirs apps when users use the digital assistant. Perhaps allow you to instantly post to Facebook or upload your most recent image to Instagram or even search multiple shopping apps for that new device you’ve been pining over and compare prices right there from your personal preferred shopping apps and locations.

We will continue to update the blog once the event is complete with all the new features scheduled to arrive this autumn and potential benefits to consumers and businesses alike.
