The UK’s major telecom companies are coming together to support its customer in free calls and texts to Ukraine, or while in the country during the current invasion.

“Vodafone UK is crediting all calls to Ukraine and waiving any roaming charges for Vodafone UK customers currently in Ukraine,” Vodafone UK CEO Ahmed Essam Shelbaya said. “We stand in solidarity with all Ukrainian people at this worrying time.”

EE has said, “For anyone wanting to contact loved ones in Ukraine, we’ve made calls, texts and data to and from the region free from today, 25 February.”

Unified World is also joining the support by offering its customers who are billed by the company to also credit the cost of calls to the country on its mobiles and TalkExpress Hosted phone system.

“While we are predominantly business-focused, company staff can still be worried about both loved ones and business associates.” said Howard Jones, Director “Our communities are important to us, and we stand with our Ukrainian friends at this time.”
